Lexie Alexander

I grew up in Taylors Falls and now live in Cambridge with my boyfriend and our dog, Millie. When I’m not behind the chair, you can usually find me with family and friends, soaking up time outdoors, chasing last-minute weekend adventures, or curled up binging a new show.

Like many, the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” was always tough for me. I knew I couldn’t be stuck behind a desk, 9-5 — I wanted variety, creativity, and the chance to connect with people every day. While earning my two-year degree at Anoka Ramsey, I started working at a small salon in Cambridge, MN. I instantly fell in love with the atmosphere — the smiles, the conversations, and the way everyone left glowing.

After graduating, I enrolled at PCI Academy in 2021 to see if this was truly my path. The moment I stepped onto the salon floor, I knew I had found my calling. Since then, I’ve worked at a commission salon in Maple Grove, co-rented a suite in Coon Rapids, and now I’m taking the exciting leap into being independent at How Pretty Salon & Co — bringing me closer to my roots and inviting my clients back into that genuine salon feeling.

For me, this career never feels like work. I love creating styles that make people smile, and I value building genuine friendships with my clients. My chair is always open for new guests, and I can’t wait to welcome you to your next hair journey.
